Speaking of future, Tibetan Buddhists believe a tulku was reborn in Minnesota. Jalue Dorjee, 5, is said to be the reincarnation of Lama Taksham Nueden Dorjee. He’ll stay here in the US — presumably to soak up our wonderful culture — until he’s 10. Then it’s off to a monastery.
I love Professor David Nutt. His recent studies involving psilocybin and MRI machines yielded surprising results. A few years ago he was sacked by his government for objectively reporting the real dangers of drugs. (namely that alcohol and tobacco are far more harmful than LSD, mushrooms and cannabis)
